9 - The Hermit - Pokemon Tarot - Cross Stitch Pattern
Inspired by Pokemon, and my love of Tarot.
Pokemon Tarot
The idea for cross stitched Pokemon Tarot cards came about because I love Pokemon, and have never found a Tarot deck that is attuned to me. I love how versatile Pokemon are, and how much meaning you can get in the designs. I designed each card with no backstitching, wanting them to look more more pixelated like the earlier games. I take inspiration from the movies, tv show, and cards for each design. The Major Arcana's cards colors are standard Pokemon colors - a black-yellow-black outline, with the card name at the bottom in yellow on a black background. Each suit of cards has a different color in place of the yellow, so that they can be easily told apart and to show that suit's connection to Ash, Misty, Brock, and Jessie&James.
8 – The Hermit – Pokemon Tarot
The Hermit is a seeker for the knowledge that comes from within. What he looks for he can only find with long periods of solitude – the inner voice. He must disconnect from others, whose voices and desires would try to overcome his own. He is reaching for a heightened state of awareness, and must find his true inner self in order to be successful.
