0 The Fool - Pokemon Tarot - Cross Stitch Pattern

Inspired by Pokemon, and my love of Tarot.

The idea for cross stitched Pokemon Tarot cards came about because I love Pokemon, and have never found a Tarot deck that is attuned to me.  I love how versatile Pokemon are, and how much meaning you can get in the designs.  I designed each card with no backstitching, wanting them to look more more pixelated like the earlier games.  I take inspiration from the movies, tv show, and cards for each design.  The Major Arcana's cards colors are standard Pokemon colors - a black-yellow-black outline, with the card name at the bottom in yellow on a black background.  Each suit of cards has a different color in place of the yellow, so that they can be easily told apart and to show that suit's connection to Ash, Misty, Brock, and Jessie&James.

    Here we have Wobuffet, in place of a player character, standing in front of one of the iterations of the player character's house in Pallet Town. He's getting ready to start an adventure, full of optimism and innocence. He's at the very beginning of his adventure, and he just knows it's going to be a great time. 
 
    We chose Wobuffet as the Pokemon for this card because he's always (to me) very innocent or naive, and in the show and movies he's always popping out of his ball full of excitement.  The setting was chosen because I have wonderful memories all throughout my childhood and as an adult, of beginning to play each iteration of the game.

28 count fabric (over 1): 3 inches wide by 5 inches tall

Remember to always add 2-3 inches on all sides for framing/finishing purposes.
